Forgiveness is Key:
The way we overcome our stress, pain, trauma and hardships tells us we are able to move forward and learn from the past. It may be that others hurt you, or maybe you hurt someone(s) like I did.
Overcoming things is a bit like a mountain climber or surfer. We gain strength by doing what is hard at first. Our legs, arms, and core must become strong for us to endure and overcome the rocks and the waves or in our lives, it’s the problems that are not removed that help us grow.
A farmer might have rocks in his yard and want them out, so the soil is smooth and easy to mow later on. Rocks are not ideal for a garden or to plant trees in, but you can do it. Perseverance and a lot of digging will yield a place to then start your yard.
How did this analogy help the farmer?
He learned patience, perseverance, new ways to get the rocks out, he learned to do the hard work up front, so the yield would be greater in the future.
It is hard work, and perseverance is key.
Forgiveness is like this. We feel hurt and instead of pressing it down and ignoring it, we sit with the awful pain and think about the event that harmed us, or the person who was damaging us, because they too were damaged or hurt.
We can forgive those who hurt us, and in fact, we must. For God to forgive us. The days go on and we see a new hurt, so we ask for forgiveness for us, or for others. Seventy times seven.
Just as God leads us to do, we can. Because Jesus left His Spirit to fill us and remove us… of us.
Sin is a choice, and Jesus died for all of our sins. Known and unknown. We can choose to sin less, but until we are in heaven, we won’t be sinless. (some disagree, I feel pretty sure about this in 2024).
Stress, and aging is natural. Yet we can minimize the aging effects and add good nutrition to help us age more naturally.
